William’s lifelong engagement with music has taken him many places: from Appalachian fiddle camps to classical piano competitions, Django jazz jams, songwriting retreats, and playing electric blues in a bar in Santa Fe four nights a week… Now living in Baltimore, he performs his original songs throughout the region and plays with the old-time Big Cricket String Band and bluegrass Coastal Plain Band, along with a variety of pickup bands and collaborations within Baltimore’s thriving roots music scene.

William writes songs to capture moments of clarity – when hopes first stir, when disappointments are finally acknowledged – the turning points when we see a little further and feel a little deeper. He centers his songs around melodies that speak for themselves and lyrics get straight to the point.
His music draws from traditional folk, folk-rock, jazz, and classical influences creating an intimate, energetic sound shaped by his warm and powerful voice.
Fiddler
William has played the fiddle for as long as he can remember. He has been attending jams, camps, festivals, and playing for dances since he was child and has learned from renowned fiddlers such as Alan Jabbour, Dave Bing, and Charlie Walden.
A fixture in the Baltimore Old-time and Bluegrass scenes he performs with Big Cricket, Coastal Plain, among other projects. He continues to explore traditional American fiddle styles and repertoire on his own and with his fiddle students.
